I'm a big sucker for M. Ward! And so anything he does will probably be reported on this blog. Who is M. Ward? Well, he is an American musician from Portland, Oregon who loves to rock the guitar and sings with a raspy voice. The M. stands for Matt. He doesn't like to be pigeon-holed folks but I can best describe his work as indie-folk rock, but really, that doesn't do it justice. He loves American music- blues, jazz, gospel, rock, pop, and therefore you hear all of it in his body of work. Anyways, he is touring Australia right now and mentioned that he is working on some solo stuff in an article. This news got me excited! Ya see he's also a member of She and Him and he and his partner Zooey released an album last year and toured like crazy. I heart She and Him but can't wait to hear more solo stuff from Matt! He's not sure when it will come out but I'm happy to know that he's working on some stuff.
