New Album and Tour for M. Ward

America's unrealized musical treasure, M. Ward, will be releasing a new album this year on April 10. How wonderful is that? Thank you Matt for blessing us once more with your words and music! Released by Merge Records, A Wasteland Companion gives insight to a contemplative artist challenged with, as Ward puts it, "what to leave behind and what to carry – material and otherwise – and thinking about what I want versus what I need, creatively and otherwise."

What we need and what we want tend to be at odds with each other, maturity aids the two becoming one. A Wasteland Companion sounds like an album that attempts to examine and exercise the always divided human heart.

Ward will also be touring all over the place this year! I plan on catching him when he comes through my town! Click here for tour info!

I just love this concept. The contemplative words and beautiful pictures captured in this journal are inspiring this lady to make do and enjoy my days. As a fan of small intimate gathers, this is a welcomed push.

And second, I've been lusting after the Jameson Boot by Vintage Shoe carried by Anthropologie.
